Diogenes [MSFT]November 10, 20081 Share 0 0 Have you ever received one of the errors below while browsing a web site? The page cannot be displayed There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. Technical Information (for support personnel) Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The HTTP message includes an unsupported header or an https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/935693 unsupported combination of headers. (12156) This could be caused due a response from a web server that begins with a space or tab character in the HTTP Header. If you have ISA Server 2006 SP1 the fix for that is already built in, however you still need tocreate the registry key described in KB935693. http://blogs.technet.com/b/yuridiogenes/archive/2008/11/11/502-proxy-error-on-isa-server-2006.aspx This KB has an example of the HTTP header that was captured using Netmon and how it looks like. Note: This KB was also reviewed for TMG MBE and also applies to it.

However, they can access these sites from their home machines. How can I solve this problem? This is a known issue with ISA Server 2004 Service Pack 2 (SP2) that relates to unsupported headers from certain Web sites. Users experiencing this problem will see a "The page cannot be displayed" message and in the "Technical Information (for support personnel)" section will see the following text: "Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The HTTP request includes a non-supported header. Contact your ISA Server administrator (12156)." Microsoft has released a fix that should solve the problem for your users. You can find more information about the problem and download the fix at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=EBC32D50-2E9F-4D55-AEFFEEBA511827B0&displaylang=en.
