Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied. anonymous Web Proxy Filter The solution was found in: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/isa/2004/plan/ts_client_rules.mspx in the section: Allow Anonymous Access to Specific Sites Problem: Some users cannot access the Internet. Cause: Require all users to authenticate is enabled on the network listening for Web requests from users, so all user requests must be authenticated. Requests from users unable to authenticate (for example users who are not members of a domain, or client computers configured as SecureNAT clients) are denied. Solution: Disable Require all users to authenticate. Instead, require authentication on access rules to sites to which you want to limit access. On sites for which you want to allow anonymous access, specify that rules should apply to All Users. I hope that thisaid to somebody Regards < Message edited by mkwento -- 15.Jun.2006 10:38:05 AM > Post #: 1 Featured Links* RE: Problem resolved: 12209 The ISA Server... and http ... - 17.Jun.2006 1:08:16 PM tshinder Posts: 50013 Joined: 10.Jan.2001 From: Texas Status: offline Hi MK, Thanks! Simply direct me to the right area and I will happily query there. In the meantime, I have a very peculiar ISA 2006 (sp1) issue that I cannot seem to resolve on my own. I http://forums.isaserver.org/Problem_resolved%3A_12209_The_ISA_Server%25%25%25_and_http_status_995_and_anonymous_and_https/m_2002019389/tm.htm have a set of 3rd party appliances. There are approximately 56 of them, and each one resides in a separate subnet. All of these 3rd party appliances are in a workgroup and therefore off the domain. They are all addressed similarly (192.168.x.55). For security/utility purposes, I would like them all to go through our ISA 2006 server however, I am https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/forefront/en-US/2755011a-5eed-44f8-afb6-9f8edd25cd5f/isa-2006-authentication-issue?forum=ForefrontedgeIA being stonewalled by 407s and error code 12209s relating to authentication. As best as I can tell, ISA still requires them to authenticate even though I have the "All Users" condition applied to the specific rule I am trying to use to allow access to internet content the 3rd party appliances need. The rule I have setup, allows access to 2 specific URLs to a computer set (list of individual IPs). This rule applies to HTTP and HTTPS requests. Here is the strangest part of the whole situation: When I go to troubleshoot the issue, the traffic simulator allows access to the websites however in practice, the monitoring section of ISA 2006 denies based on 12209 error codes. On the appliance side, it is being requested to provide credentials to pass to ISA. The simulation scenario is configured to test "web access" with source parameters of 192.168.1.55 on all ports with traffic sent from anonymous user. The destination is either one of the 2 required URLs. When tested the source is granted access hitting rule 7 (the rule I configu
