All are configured the same way and are fully patched. One member is getting event ID 14141 Proxy Server Loop. I can't find anything recent on this or anything helpful in resolving the issue. If I reboot the box it goes away for about 8 hours or so. Thank you, Monday, January 25, 2010 9:27 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi, Thank you for the update. Please try the following steps to see if we can resolve this issue: 1. If there is no virus found, you may open regedit program and navigate to the following registry: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\fpc\Arrays\{GUID}\ArrayPol icy\WebProxy\Locate the value FPCDnsCacheTTL and change the value date to 0. Reboot the server and then check the event log. Will the problem be resolved? 2. Please make sure the DNS configuration is set as followingExternal NIC:IP: assigned by your ISP or your hardware routerGateway: your ISP or your Hardware router IPDNS: INTERNAL NIC IP as the only entryInternal NIC:IP: Fixed IPGateway: NoneDNS: INTERNAL NIC IP as the only entry In the DNS console (dnsmgmt.msc), right click your ServerName and click properties. In the Forwarders tab, your ISP DNS server IP should be inputted there. 3. Please open the DNS tab of the external NIC TCP/IP properties page and make sure "Register this connection's address in DNS" is unchecked Regards,Nick Gu - MSFT Marked as answer by Nick Gu - MSFTMicrosoft contingent staff, Moderator Thursday, February 04, 2010 10:34 AM Tuesday, February 02, 2010 1:44 AM Reply | Quote Moderator 0 Sign in to vote Nick, thank you for your reply. I found the problem. This is a virtual server and it had an extra NIC configured for DHCP and so the ISA server was seeing 2 gateways configured. Even though they were the same gateway the ISA configuration did not like it. After disabling the extra NIC all is well. Thank you for your time and attention and I'm very sorry to have wasted your time.Rick Marked as answer by Rickmart61 Thursday, February 04, 2010 8:3

the external network adapter references an Internet service provider (ISP) Domain Name System (DNS) server http://kb.eventtracker.com/evtpass/evtpages/EventId_14141_MicrosoftWebProxy_48817.asp and the binding order on ISA Server lists the http://www.freelists.org/post/isalist/Error-14141-Proxy-Chain,1 external network adapter first. When the publishing server is redirected by a Fully Qualified Name and the zone of the server matches the zone located on the external DNS server, the external DNS server is used isa error to resolve the name. The external DNS server redirects the traffic back to the external network adapter on ISA Server. Each time the traffic arrives at ISA Server, an "HTTP Via" record is added to the packet. When two of these records exist, ISA Server isa error 14141 returns the 12206 error message.RESOLUTION:To resolve this behavior, remove the external DNS server address from the external network adapter, and then change the binding order on ISA Server so that the internal network adapter is listed first:1. Click Network and Dial-Up connections.2. On the Advanced menu, click Advanced Settings to display the binding order.3. Click the internal network adapter, and then move it to the top. The internal DNS is used to resolve the server name so that redirection works properly.
