This discussion is locked donkreel Level 1 (0 points) Q: Error -1450 I recently purchased a song, but during the download, I received an error message (-1450 The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred). The song didn't appear in my purchased music list. I tried purchasing the song again, but was told that by iTunes that I already owned a copy. Sure enough, I checked my library folders and the song was there. I double clicked on it, and it opened no problem...however, about a minute into it, the same error message popped up (-1450). Any suggestions? I've never had this problem before... Set the security program up not to scan the iTunes folders. That 1450 error is usually seen when closing iTunes, not downloading or playing a song...but that is the first thing I would try. It can't go for more than 1 day without appearing again. It is seriously giving me the shi*s because Apple has not said a word about it anywhere and so many people are having the problem for so many different reasons. I am about ready to request a refund on 2 iPods as they are virtually unuseable as well as an album and single downloaded off Music Store. The support hours are completely inconvenient as I can't access this computer during those hours to go through any problems. I have gone through about 6 different fixes on these boards which while appreciat

Discussion in 'Virus & Other Malware Removal' started by Metal4Life, Nov 11, 2007. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement Metal4Life Thread Starter Joined: Oct 22, 2007 Messages: 7 I've had itunes for several years now, but just recently i've experienced a major problem. About 3 weeks ago, it all began. At random points in the day when I'm just doing my regular computer business and listening https://discussions.apple.com/thread/445021?start=0&tstart=0 to some songs in itunes, a message pops up in itunes stating "The itunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occured (-1450)". This error causes you to lose a random number of songs from you library, but thankfully they remain on the hardrive. After the message appears, i have no choice really but to close itunes because after I click ok to the unknown error message, it https://forums.techguy.org/threads/itunes-library-file-unknown-error-1450-possible-malware-or-other-virus.650775/ just keeps staying basically, so I have to exit. I click to open itunes again and a box appears stating something along the lines of "importing itunes library .xml" with a green loading bar at the bottom of the message. After it's done it states the following "The file itunes Library does not appear to be a valid itunes library file. Itunes has attempted to recover you itunes library and renamed this file to "itunes Library (Damaged).itl." After I click itunes a second time, the actual program opens and usually more than 1/2 or 3/4 of my library is gone. Just randomly picked songs remain and I have 1500+ songs as a whole. This message appears at random points in the day has popped up about 7 times over the course of 3 weeks. I've tried a couple suggestions from someone on the itunes discussion forums and actual itunes phone support. Phone support told me just to uninstall itunes and reinstall it and that should prevent the error message from appearing. It didn't. On the Itunes disscusion forum, I had what seemed to me be a very knowledgable user say to me that many people have had this same problem. It's caused when anti-virus s
(error -1450)" that happens under windows? I've seen a couple of posts about it, but nothing useful, just a bunch of "realplayer rocks/sucks - itunes rocks/sucks" arguments. Nothing on the Apple support site either. I've removed/re-installed a few times, removed http://arcterex.net/blog/archives/2006/02/anyone-know-how-to-fix-itunes.html the My Music/iTunes folder, same result. This happens when I add a podcast. Help please! Update http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/1450-error-in-itunes.2271776/ Looks like you have to remove all mentions of itunes from the registry as well as doing an uninstall and pretty much remove every occurance of itunes anywhere on the system to make it work again. So far so good, keeping fingers crossed. Just fixed it. The error appeared while synchronzising the music of his Iphone with Itunes. Problem was an access violation, cause it seems like the Iphone is handled as an own user. So you can't put your music in your MyData/MyMusic folder (Please excuse if the folder don't have this exact name, but I'm using another language version of Windows, so I don't know how it's exactly called). Way to fix 1: (recommended) In Data-Properties change the save folder for Music. (For Example to C:/Music/) Way to fix 2; Get t
