Tue Nov 15, 2011 10:23 pm iTunes Match is flaking out on my PC. I hope I'm in the right forum Issue: When downloading large amounts of files (3000+) from iCloud, within 20 minutes (200 or so downloads) iTunes.exe is ballooning to 1.7GB memory usage before it bails out with the error message "iTunes library file cannot be saved. There is not enough memory available."If I close and re-open iTunes, I can restart the downloads, but it's itunes library cannot be saved (error -50) annoying to have to do that every 20 minutes, and I'm not sure what, if anything, is being corrupted in my iTunes library.I've redirected my iTunes directory to a different drive on the same machine using a symlink (mklink). Everything goes okay with the downloads, until the error pops up, so I'm not guessing it's a permissions issue, but who knows? Background: I just joined iTunes Match, uploaded all my music from my MacBook into the iCloud. The next step was to install iTunes on my home server (WHS) and download everything from iCloud into my own personal, local cloud. That's why I'm downloading *so much* stuff. whoami Ars Praefectus et Subscriptor Tribus: Hillsborough, California Registered: Nov 26, 2000Posts: 3868 Posted: Wed Nov 16, 2011 3:42 am Erp, why not just copy the files directly over the local network next time? If you want to update old tracks to "Matched AAC" files, create a smart playlist bitrate is less than 256kbps as a rule. Then hit the download button next to the playlist title.I wonder if the Mac OS X version of iTunes has the same memory problem. enoch2001 Smack-Fu Master, in training Registered: Nov 16, 2011Posts: 29 Posted: Wed Nov 16, 2011 12:22 pm I have the exact same issue, even though I am simply replacing my lower bitrate files with their iCloud iTunes Plus counterparts. Bumferry July 15, 2012 Facebook Twitter Pinterest Stumbleupon Whatsapp Email I have http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/itunes-complaining-memory-laptop/ just installed iTunes to my new Windows laptop and put all my music on. However, there are quite a large number of duplicates. I am deleting the duplicates bit by bit, but every so often iTunes pops up with the following message: "The iTunes library file cannot be saved. There is not enough memory available." I do not know why this is, I have over 450GB of free memory on my hard drive to play with and 6GB of RAM (at the time, no other programs are being used). Once this message appears iTunes will almost always crash causing me to have to reopen it and find that most of the duplicates I have deleted are back. Please can anyone help because im getting cramp in my fingers (and my brain!). Thanks. something ridiculously easy that I've overlooked.I've just deleted all my apps because iTunes wouldn't let me transfer them. It gave me the option to transfer my purchased apps to the library, but every time I tried to transfer, a message popped up saying "iTunes could not http://www.iphonehelpzone.com/post/itunes-wont-sync-because-there-isnt-enough-space-but-there-is.html transfer because there isn't enough space on this iphone" or something similar, which is odd, because I'm http://ipad.bigresource.com/Not-enough-free-space-available-error-message--Z5m1UIjco.html trying to sync apps that are already on the phone to iTunes, not the other way around, so the capacity of the phone shouldn't even matter. Anyway, I eventually said to **** with it and sync'd without transfering the apps. I think they're all backed up, if not, it was time I cleaned out some apps anyway..The problem now is, post reply | video help | read more App will not itunes library Download even though settings say there is enough space location: macrumors.com - date: September 6, 2012 The error message of not having enough local storage to download an app appears when I attempt to download an app even though the app is 1.3 GB and there are 2.4GB free on my iphone. I have an iPhone 5 and I'm syncing it to a macbook running 10.6.8 Everytime I sync the phone it gives me this error "iTunes could not backup the iPhone because not enough free space is available on this computer" it suggests that I delete and empty some files. However, I have 459GB available. And it's only a 16GB phone.I've tried re-installing iTunes, restarting both the laptop and the iPhone, and running disk utility. I've also deleted all the songs from the phone and it didn't fix the problem.
