I notice that you have posted the same question in our microsoft.public.dotnet.framework newsgroup, which I have already respond. So please check my answer there and if you need any further assistance on this particualar issue, please reply to me in that thread so I can follow up with you in time. For your convenience, I have included my reply as follows: ************************************************** *************** When a form is opened in the form designer, the code in the form's InitializeComponent method will be executed. Does this problem exist on other machine? I suggest that comment out all the code in the InitializeComponent method which resides in the form's Designer.vb file and re-open the form in the designer to see if you could open the form without error. If you could open the form correctly, uncomment some of the code in the InitializeComponent method and re-open the form in the designer to see if you
PMI go through the wizard and get as far https://community.flexerasoftware.com/archive/index.php?t-156793.html as hitting the button for 'add project output' then I get these errors and vstudio exits. It sounds like you are creating your fatal execution engine new project via the .NET wizard. I assume you are launch InstallShield, then running through the wizard, then expecting Visual Studio to launch with the installation added to your application in the Visual Studio solution. Perhaps you could workaround the issue by launch Visual Studio, opening the solution that contains your code, then adding an InstallShield project to that solution. You can then go to the Files view of the InstallShield project and add the VS project outputs to your installation. Tailslide02-27-2006, 03:07 PMYes, if I created the project and cancelled out of the wizard then went through and set the items myself I was able to avoid this error.
