Cause for me was that for some reason I had 2 instances of Visual Studio running the same solution. The other one wasn't visible on taskbar, but only on Task Manager. Closed both, then a clean and rebuild worked. –Sami Sep 24 '15 at 8:25 add a comment| 12 Answers 12 active oldest votes up vote 23 down vote This is a mismatch between assemblies: a DLL referenced from an assembly doesn't have a method signature that's expected. Clean the solution, rebuild everything, and try again. Also, be careful if this is a reference to something that's in the GAC; it could be that something somewhere is pointing to an incorrect version. Make sure (through the Properties of each reference) that the correct version is chosen or that Specific Version is set false. share|improve this answer answered Sep 18 '08 at 19:17 Jeremy McGee 16.8k64286 4 is there a way to force the compiler to check this sort of thing at compile time? Problem is that my application won't run on another computer. Crashes, gives somekind of "ole error". I'm using f1book (activex component) and I think that's the problem. If I remove f1book, then there is no problem. I'd like to share it to others, but how can I solve this problem? (If delphi is installed on that other computer, then it runs fine.) ocean View Public Profile Send a private message to ocean Visit ocean's homepage! I got it working using bat file regsvr32.exe vcf132.ocx /s cls exit And added these to program dir vcf132.ocx msvcrt20.dll oc30.dll mfcans32.dll But now discovered there could be much better solution to this problem! Just add olecontainer to your form using f1book, and you don't need any of these files! It's seems to be working, no idea why? I still would need to run it on completely clean computer.
