Visual FoxPro > Visual FoxPro General Question 0 Sign in to vote OLE Error code 0x800401ea: Moniker cannot open file in running the .EXE file. how to resolve it not touching any codes? Monday, July 14, 2014 10:10 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Googling the error I find some pages, no solution. I assume the same EXE runs on some computers and not on others, that's also the case in another thread. I know Monikers can't be used from VFP6, you need at least VFP7, otherwise and in case the first assumption is true, it would be a missing component, configuration or permissions. Nevertheless no one can say without knowing the specific code, there are many Monikers and we need to know which one is not working for your application. It's always best you post code to get an answer, even if it works and you just need to know what component is missing, what needs to be configured or what permissions are missing or even what OS or what runtime version is needed as is the case with this error.
