The highest MacOS version that will run on a PowerPC machine is 10.5.8, and then only on machines meeting the specifications for Leopard. When i ran "ls" in it I got "Input/output error" for all folders in it. I could not list anything https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3325396?tstart=0 within the folder.I unmounted the hard drive immediately.I noticed several rows with these in dmesg:"[607277.950354] Buffer I/O error on device sdb1, logical block 23320""dd if=/dev/sdb1 of=/mnt/backup/location" gives me about 44kB and then it thinks it is done. When you get a menu selection between the HD and CD, boot from the CD.6. When the cd finishes booting select utilities and disk utilities.7. Run a verify and repair.Hope that it works and passes.
