Can i fix it? How can i be sure what is my problem? checkdisk? (i am regular to use fedora.) But, at office i have also ubuntu machines... so, my problem is in ubuntu.. And, there isnt /var/log/massage.. In ubuntu it's called /var/log/syslog or something like that. The file is readable? Where are the files located in your office? Code: ls -l input cat input or use "cat input > /dev/null" if it's very large. So how about the output file? Code: ls -l output cat input > output Or do you have problems reading the binaries? When I login, I get this error. Could not chdir to home directory /home/username: Input/output error It seems like my home folder is corrupt or something. etc/profile input/output error I cannot ls in the home folder directory, and in my usename directory, I can't cd into this. As root I cannot ls in the home directory as well or in any directory in Home. I notice as well when I save in vim or quit, it get this error at the bottom of the page E138: Cannot write viminfo file /home/root/.viminfo! Any ideas?
