Search this Thread 11-30-2003, 03:05 PM #1 true_atlantis Member Registered: Oct 2003 Distribution: fedora cor 5 x86_64 Posts: 639 Rep: input/output error when editing fstab i did something wrong when editing fstab in mandrake when it booted correctly, now it wont boot correctly, and when i try to edit /etc/fstab in vi it gives me an error saying it cant write to the file, and if i try to less or cat it, it says "/etc/fstab: Input/output error." there is a file called /etc/fstab.OLD that has the correct settings, is there a way that will make my computer think that /etc/fstab.OLD is /etc/fstab without editing /etc/fstab in any way? or is

There is a slight difference shown by calling mount. Here's the /etc/fstab entry: fuse on /ebs/mnt/shared type fuse (rw,noatime,allow_other) and here's what it looks like when mounted from the s3fs commandline: fu
