If I use udp the mount fails with this error on the client. mount.nfs: Input/output error while /var/log/messages shows an authenticated mount request on the server. If I try to mount via tcp it gives me a no route to host error. rpcinfo will work as long as I do not run it as root. I suspect there is something blocking this network
NFS client ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ ashisaApril 19, 200720 Share 0 0 Mounting NFS share on NFS client Now click on OK twice and come https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/sfu/2007/04/19/mounting-nfs-share-on-nfs-client/ out of the folder properties saving the changes you've made, open a https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1474797 command prompt and run – showmount –e.This should return the exports list for this system and should list the folder you just shared – Next step is to check the NTFS permission on this folder. Windows Server 2003 systems do not include anonymous users in the Everyone output error group and you need to manually add the Anonymous Logons group to the access list (I have done that before going any further). This KB article talks more about it. We are now ready to go to the NFS client and mount this share.Run the showmount command from your client – Now, you can mount it on a Linux host mount.nfs input/output error using the following command –mount –t nfs NFSSRV:/nfsshare /mnt/nfs Let’s go ahead and run some of our favorite commands – I have mounted the share on /mnt/nfs on this box and what I did was go to /mnt directory and see what are the ownerships and permissions shown for this mount (remember after you mount a NFS share on a directory the permissions shown are that of the NFS share mounted and not of the directory which is the mount point). Then I switched to that mount point and then created myfile1 using touch command. Next thing I did was to list everything there. << Sharing folders over NFS Back to post Who's 4294967294? >>

I have always had the following line in /etc/fstab: Code: 192.168.0.30:/shares/SimplePool/Storage /home/brian/Storage nfs rw,auto,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,intr,soft,retry=5 0 0 That, along with having Code: nfs-common installed, has always worked great for accessing my remote NFS server. Unfortunately Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) isn't cooperating. If I try to manually mount /home/brian/Storage it will hang. I ran the following equivalent command to debug: Code: sudo mount -v -t nfs -o rw,auto,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,intr,soft,retry=5 192.168.0.30:/shares/SimplePool/Storage /home/brian/Storage And the result was: Code: mount.nfs: timeout set for Thu May 6 10:01:01 2010 mount.nfs: text-based options: 'rsize=8192,wsize=8192,intr,soft,retry=5,addr=192.168.0.30' mount.nfs: mount(2): Input/output error mount.nfs: m
