What does that error mean? Share this conversation Expert: Russell A. replied3 years ago. Hi,F60 is a general error code indicating a http://www.justanswer.com/recorders-and-players/7ff1s-panasonic-dmr-es40v-dvd-vhs-player-says-f60-does.html failure on the video processing board.First try a "cold boot". Unplug the recorder again, allow it to sit for just 2 minutes, then plug it in. If zeros show on the display, press and hold the power button for 8 to 10 seconds. The unit should go into "Standby mode". Wait 10 seconds and press the power button. If successful it should start up normally. If not, continue below.A complete system reset can be accomplished by turning the DVD/VCR off. Then press and hold the STOP and CHANNEL up buttons for 5 seconds and simultaneously pressing and releasing the POWER button once.If normal operation is not restored, the video board will need to be replaced using a conventional repair service or If you are handy with electronics the part is available at the link below. http://www.partstore.com/Model/Matsushita/Panasonic/DMRES40V.aspxPlease keep in mind that my diagnosis & solutions provided are directly dependent on the accuracy of your description of the problem. Typing... Customer The power light is off and the machine will not eject the DVD and Video in there. I have unplugged and re-connected. The code on the unit is now F60. Last updated 2/23/2013 Rofel Lantican Technician Hi, Thank you for contacting us. My name is Rofel and I am here to help you resolve your issues. I need a few minutes to prepare my customized answer. I will be right back. Appreciate your patience. Posted 2/23/2013 Rofel Lantican Technician Thanks for waiting. F60 is a general error code usually related to a failure on the video processing board. You can recognize this board as the small board with the onboard HDMI port in the model, and has the mini cables connecting to it. It floats above the rest of the boards in the middle back of the machine. You can also try the steps below and check if this will eliminate the error. Unplugged the unit for a minute then plugged it back in. When the ooooo display started I held down the power button for at least 10 seconds. This put the unit in standby mode From standby mode check if you will be able to start normally using the power button. Full Reset With the unit powered off, press and hold the Stop and Channel Up buttons while powering on the main unit at the same time for about 5 seconds. Please let me know what happen.
