thier players or maybe the "No disk" error even though a disk is in the drive. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving

quick Google search indicated this was a common problem (defect perhaps?) to many Panasonic players. The solution is pretty simple: remove the what does ho7 mean on a dvd player case, open the tray and then unplug the unit. Inside you'll see the portion that spins the discs. Give this a few good whirls and start it up again. If it doesn't spin on its own, http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/55214/ spin it around yourself a couple times and it should start up. I'm not very handy, and this still worked like a charm in 4 minutes. Assuming I'd have to spend $40 for a http://blog.aragirn.net/2007/12/01/panasonic-dvd-players-h02-error/ functional replacement, that's a pretty good payday :). On my player, however, you cannot put the cover back on, and the solution is simple. I had to make the tabs at the front of the case (on top, about 1/4 of the way in from the front) rest on top of the case instead of slotting back in to where they go. All five screws go back in, but there is less pressure on top of the drive (which seems to stop the white disk from spinning). I was too afraid to try lubing it. Will try that next if needed. I've had this player several years and did not want to have to replace it. Thanks for the fix. Comment navigation ← Older Comments Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published. I had H02 on my Panasonic RV31. I tried taking off the cover and giving it a manual spin for about 20 or so revolutions. It did spin up a little when I put the dvd back in, but it didn't help fix H02, so I decided to look underneath the dvd drive.(I had to take out four screws.) I could see where the motor was soldered to a circuit board and it even had a plus and minus printed on it. Since I read on either these forums or another place googling H02 took me, that the motor was DC, I decided to press a 9 volt against the solder points. The motor spun, and I let it do so for about 30 seconds. I put it all back together and it worked again! I'm not good at electronics and I'm not recommending anyone do this. But if you are going to throw it out anyway....then it can't hurt right? DVD Fixed! September 2010 I just had the same H02 problem. I opened up my Panasonic DVD player by unscrewing the screws behind it. By doing so i was able to see inside the p
