It's all the way to the right to start with. When I do get it to "click" it goes to the middle of its track on the next try and stops. Still getting the H03 message. The symptom is my portable DVD player stopped playing commercial or personal DVDs. On the LCD was the text "Error H03". The fix involved taking apart the DVD player, and manually rotating the servo gear to "move" the laser mechanism housing past to where it was "stuck." This was my little http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/299627-Fixing-My-Portable-DVD-s-H03-Error voyage into hardware, and I hope it's helpful to somebody. The actual fix came from a post on another forum. Visit my post for details (and pictures) at: http://ricktechtalk.nfshost.com/blog/2008/12/30/fixing-my-portable-dvds-h03-error Happy New Year!
