Error on your Panasonic DVD player (DVD-RP62) hacks Link: http://www.ledcar.com/pdvdh07/So some guy, stefan, has been good enough to post detailed instructions on how to fix panasonic dvd rv32 error code h07 the H07 (HO7 or HOT) error that our DVD player (the Panasonic DVD-RP62) what does ho7 mean on a dvd player has been experiencing. Essentially, all the oil on the motor's spindle has gone dry and the motor gets to hot

too fast. (I have cached a copy of the page with instructions just in case you come here via Google and the page linked to above no longer works. The cache is

Apparently, the best solution to this problem (if it's worth the time, and I don't think it is) is to replace the spindle motor with something else (from this form post): i have repaired about 9 of these units ,the problem is with one of the three coils in the spindel it shorts sending BAdriver chip in to thermal shutdown . replace with panasonic dvd player h02 error 5.9/6volt low profile 1/2 spindel ,almost any spindel motor with thoes specs will work. Dec-04 Posted on Monday, December 13, 2004 - 09:48 GMTI bought a DVD player (RV-32) 13 months ago and while watching a movie, it froze on me then I saw the "H07" message on the
Panasonic Portable Dvd Player Error Code H02
display. And that was it, it has not work since. I've tried to get in panasonic dvd-s35 h02 error fix touch or get some support from Panasonic but they won't acknowledge or admit that there may be a problem with one of panasonic dvd-rv31 h02 error their "products". Panasonic SUCKS!! Don't buy any Panasonic products because they won't provide you with any support. But anyway, does anyone have the same problem? Has anyone found a solution to this "H07" message on the display? https://josephhall.org/nqb2/index.php/dvd_rp62 Let me know via e-mail. Thanks R Powell Unregistered guest Posted on Friday, December 31, 2004 - 16:49 GMTi have sane problem today!! Did u find a solution? David Massey Silver MemberUsername: SamijubalPost Number: 553Registered: Jul-04 Posted on Friday, December 31, 2004 - 20:12 GMTIt probably has a bad spindle motor, Panasonic is famous for them going bad. Open it and see if the disc spins, if not give it a little turn http://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/112851.html by hand, if it starts spinning the motor is defective. foreman202Unregistered guest Posted on Saturday, January 01, 2005 - 02:19 GMTPanasonic sucks they break bmccooeyUnregistered guest Posted on Wednesday, January 05, 2005 - 16:58 GMTActually, there is a fix for this. It is the spindle. Add a little oil to the spindle and let it sink in. You may want to do a little manual turn to work the oil in. You may have to remove some pieces to get at the spindle, but once you do, fixing it should be a snap. Can't guarantee how long the fix will last though. Just did this myself last night. I'll try your trick and see how it goes. I might use a Teflon based lubricant for the job. That stuff makes miracles. LamchopUnregistered guest Posted on Saturday, January 08, 2005 - 04:34 GMTMy sister just told me she got the h07 error on her panasonic r62 dvd player. How do I physically/mechanically get to the spindle? I want to try to do the oil trick this weekend. Maybe we can milk a few more months out of the system. Thanks in advance. Here is the URL: http://www.elektr0n.com/dwm/doku.php?id=how_to_fix_the_h07_ho7_error_on_your_panasonic_dvd_player Let me add the particulars on our machine: SN = VA21A032601 Manufactured: 09/02 I managed to remove the 4 not 2 screws holding down the drive unit, I pulled the ribbon cable and the power cable using a small hemostat, and now I am stuck. The unit does not lift out 'as advertised.' I get the impression that to get to the panasonic dvd spindle bearing I need access to the bottom of the drive unit. I then downloaded the manual and worked out how to page through it using FireFox. I see that I could quickly get into deep water regarding the optical pickup unit and static electricity. I have some ultrafine oil (my former barber sold me a bottle of clipper oil for my clippers) and fine syringes for getting oil where it is panasonic dvd player needed. I have observed that the disk mechanism turns freely, from the perspective accessible with the drive unit still in its installed orientation. Could the h07 code be from some other overheat problem. Am I chasing a will-o-the-wisp? Thanks in advance for any insights. baumgrenze Back to top vtechJoined: 08 May 2006Posts: 1261Location: USA Posted: Mon Jan 24, 2011 3:42 am Post subject: Have been out of consumer electronics for some time...I used to see this problem on a regular bases and replaced many many spindle motors on several Panasonic models that used the Exact mechanism. The HO7 error code basically indicates a spindle servo problem. meaning that it is either not turning or turning very slow--it may be anything from a binding &/or burned up motor all the way to it's driver IC. I can tell you that in my experience, depending on the amount of use on the motor, chances of "lubricating" the motor shaft was not a real success. --sooner or later you had to change the motor and in more than 85 percent of the time the driver IC had to also be replaced (surface mount BA6328 which sits on the underneath PCB). Basically the whole problem starts with the arcing spindle motor that was a weakling design to
