Thanks Shamus! I had H02 on my Panasonic RV31. I tried taking off the cover and giving it a manual spin for about 20 or so revolutions. It did spin up a little when I put the dvd back in, but it didn't help fix H02, so I decided to look underneath the dvd drive.(I had to take out four screws.) I could see where the motor was soldered to a circuit board and it even had a plus and minus printed on it. Since I read on either these forums or another place googling H02 took me, that the motor was DC, I decided to press a 9 volt against the solder points. The motor spun, and I let it do so for about 30 seconds. I put it all back together and it worked again! I'm not good at electronics and I'm not recommending anyone do this. But if you are going to throw it out anyway....then it can't hurt right? DVD Fixed! September 2010 I just had the same H02 problem. I opened up my Panasonic DVD player by unscrewing the screws behind it. By doing so i was able to see inside the player. I turned on the DVD player and put it in a DVD to see what the problem was. I noticed the DVD wasn

Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess panasonic dvd player around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start". If that doesnt work then follow this very useful guide on how to take apart the disk drive in your Panasonic/Denon/Yamaha dvd player, and apply new oil to that dying spindle motor: http://www.crestronforums.org/index.php?showtopic=3 And if anyone has ever expierced a problem with a Panasonic/Denon/Yamaha DVD player regarding one of these problems please post your story and make sure you complain to Panasonic. We shouldnt let them get away with this. I figured this out by reading a message posted by someone on this forum and i wanted to share my s

I plugged it back in and turned it on and low and behold it came on. Once the fan is clean you must unplug and it seems to reset or something. Good luck to all, I knwo it is frustrating.
