and you can see the number on the motor please let me know as well. You can by the parts here: http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/epartr/ http://www.partsolver.com I've seen tons of posts about this problem so I decided to write ho7 error panasonic dvd player a quick guide to fixing the problem. This fix my not solve the problem permanently but seems to work for at least a while. Best solution would probably be to replace the motor itself with a better one. I will try to located a good replacement when I have some free time. All you need is a philips head screw driver and some oil (I used WD40 but any good h07 cable oil should work). First disconnect the unit from power so you don't kill yourself. Next open the dvd player by removing the 7 screws (2 on each side and 3 on the back on my model). Gently pull of the housing. You should see something like this now (you should remove the CD/DVD before you open your machine, I forgot): Remove the two screws holding the assembly located here: Now, very carefully remove the ribbon cable. Don't put too much stress on it! Pull out the assembly slowly and remove the other connector. Do not pull on the wire. Use your finger nails to wiggle the connector out of the socket. Now remove the laser protective cover by pressing in the clips and then sliding it off If you can see the motor at this point you don't need to remove the inner part. Otherwise remove the inner section by pressing out the clips and lifting it out. Now lubricate the motor. Use only very little oil and spray away from the laser! Reassemble the inner section by setting the gear in the position shown below. Replace the tray like so. Reassemble and your done. Questions? Comments? Post them here: Crestron Forums o

Apparently, the best solution to this problem (if it's worth the time, and I don't think it is) is to replace the spindle motor https://josephhall.org/dvd-rp62/How%20to%20fix%20the%20H07%20(HO7)%20Error%20on%20your%20Panasonic%20DVD%20player.html with something else (from this form post): i have repaired about 9 of these units ,the problem is with one of the three coils in the spindel it shorts sending BAdriver chip in to thermal shutdown . replace with 5.9/6volt low profile 1/2 spindel ,almost any spindel motor with thoes specs will work. Panasonic... | Answered on Apr 24, 2016 1 Answer DVD RV32 displays H07 I read elsewhere that HO7 ("HOT") means panasonic dvd that the spindle motor is getting shut down because it's too hot. This may be because it's become dried out. I unplugged my power*, opened it up, (6-7 screws in the back and sides), then removed two screws to remove the soft disk weight that sits on top of the DVD to keep it firmly against the spindle. I also flipped a plastic switch I could panasonic dvd player see down through the platter, which allowed me to manually slide open the carousel. After that, I had access to the spindle motor. I gently turned the gears to move the laser back out of the way, then put a little WD40 where the shaft enters the motor. I manually turned the spindle about 30 times to help it seep in. It didn't help the first few times I fired it back up, but after about 3 re-boots it actually worked! That was last night, so no guarantees--and no confidence that WD40 is the appropriate lubricant for longevity, but hey, it was on it's way to the dumpster because of one stupid error, so I'm a happy camper. BTW, to test it, I only replaced the disk-weight assembly (2 screws in the plastic part covering the disk and laser). Disclaimer: I'm not a professional. This is my experience, this is not a tutorial or recommendation. Yes, you can cut, shock, or kill yourself. Capacitors can hold a charge even when a unit is not plugged in. I have no idea what lubricant to use. Get professional help if you're not one. Panasonic... | Answered

Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start". If that doesnt work then follow this very useful guide on how to take apart the disk drive in your Panasonic/Denon/Yamaha dvd player, and apply new oil to that dying spindle motor: http://www.crestronforu
