/ H07 DVD player Error Author Date Written Tools Adam Kolak Feb 09, 2006, 08:33pm EST Reply - Quote - Report Abuse Private Message - Add to Buddy List Replies: 2 - Views: 31770 Thousands of annoyed customers of Panasonic, Yamaha, and Denon DVD Player owners have encountered the infamous H02 / H07 /H03 erors and many others on thier players or maybe the panasonic dvd-rv31 h02 error "No disk" error even though a disk is in the drive. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start". If that doesnt work then

quick Google search indicated this was a common problem (defect perhaps?) to many Panasonic players. The solution is pretty simple: remove the what does ho7 mean on a dvd player case, open the tray and then unplug the unit. Inside you'll see the portion that spins the discs. Give this a few good whirls and start it up again. If it doesn't spin on its own, http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/55214/ spin it around yourself a couple times and it should start up. I'm not very handy, and this still worked like a charm in 4 minutes. Assuming I'd have to spend $40 for a http://blog.aragirn.net/2007/12/01/panasonic-dvd-players-h02-error/ functional replacement, that's a pretty good payday :). On my player, however, you cannot put the cover back on, and the solution is simple. I had to make the tabs at the front of the case (on top, about 1/4 of the way in from the front) rest on top of the case instead of slotting back in to where they go. All five screws go back in, but there is less pressure on top of the drive (which seems to stop the white disk from spinning). I was too afraid to try lubing it. Will try that next if needed. Thanks so much! Tanya on 5/30/2013 at 7:13 pm said: Awesome! I tried it and…BOOM! It worked. Just to confirm, I played several different DVD's. Thanks! R. I've had this player several years and did not want to have to replace it. Thanks for the fix. Comment navigation ← Older Comments Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published. Remove the case's top by removing the three screws in the back plus one each side. Load a DVD into the panasonic dvd drive, and then during the (failing) spin-up, gently push the white circle in a clockwise direction. The drive should begin to spin almost immediately and work properly from there, even after the cover is replaced.(Worked for me; your mileage may vary.)Of course it goes without saying that you should refrain from putting heavy things on top of panasonic dvd player the unit when it is returned to the stack. In my case having a PVR sitting on top of it (off-center because of where the A/V case doors and the individual device's I/R remote listener locations were) for over a year caused the drive to eventually stick. no comments | post comment see also: DVD... Discussed with technician and he reported that the gears get dirty and stick and need cleaning. Since last year, I get this message every 3-4 months. I take out all the screws from the bottom, open the cast carefully, and use some canned air, clear all the gears, gently rotate all of them. Put everything back together and should work fine. I did everythig but nothing helped. Finally I solve it with the help of an electric hair dryer in it's cold air fan position. Every time the same error code H02 appears the hair dryer solve it by strong cold air flow around the optical system as well as the weel. No need to unscrew the device just open the door and let the air flow do his best from different angles. hope it will do for you too. yours, Shaya. my e-mail is shaya.shakeri@gmail.com Posted on Feb 04, 2009 Helpful 3 Not Helpful Comment Flag You can't post conmments that contain an email address. × Comment Anonymously Video Images Kimi Level 2: An expert who has achieved level 2 by getting 100 points MVP: An expert that got 5 achievements.
