quick guide to fixing the problem. This fix my not solve the problem permanently but seems to work for at least a while. Best solution would probably be to replace the motor itself with a better one. I will try to located a good replacement when I have some free time. All you need is a philips head screw driver and some oil (I used WD40 but any good oil should panasonic h02 error code work). First disconnect the unit from power so you don't kill yourself. Next open the dvd player by removing the 7 screws (2 on each side and 3 on the back on my model). Gently pull of the housing. You should see something like this now (you should remove the CD/DVD before you open your machine, I forgot): Remove the two screws holding the assembly located here: Now, very carefully remove the ribbon cable. Don't put too much stress on it! Pull out the assembly slowly and remove the other connector. Do not pull on the wire. Use your finger nails to wiggle the connector out of the socket. Now remove the laser protective cover by pressing in the clips and then sliding it off If you can see the motor at this point you don't need to remove the inner part. Otherwise remove the inner section by pressing out the clips and lifting it out. Now lubricate the motor. Use only very little oil and spray away from the laser! Reassemble the inner section by setting the gear in the position shown below. Replace the tray like so. Reassemble and your done. Questions? Comments? Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start". If that doesnt work then follow this very useful guide on how to ta

Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share by Email × Question about Panasonic DVD-CV52 DVD Player 3 Answers Error Message H07 - what is it? Half-way through watching a DVD (with no previous indications of a problem), the http://www.fixya.com/support/t114559-error_message_h07 TV screen went blank, then showed the standard "blue screen" with the word "DVD" (like you see at the start of a movie when you first insert the DVD). The player however showed "Error H07", and it would no longer play the http://forum.eserviceinfo.com/viewtopic.php?p=231292 DVD. I tried a few other DVDs, no luck. I restarted the player, also no luck. What does "H07" mean, and does anyone have a fix for it? In the meantime, I will try to clean it as per the previous panasonic dvd fix listed for "H02". Anonymous Feb 13, 2008 I have exactly the same problem, but when I review the Panasonic parts list there is no listing for a "spindle" motor. Since this model (DVD-CV52) is a 5-disk changer, perhaps the failed motor has a different name. Panasonic lists only two parts as motors for this unit. One is item RFKPLPD667PA, described as a "TRAY MOTOR/DC/<35W" costing $14.85. The other is item RFKPLPD667PB, described as a "LOADING MOTOR" costing $15.06. Since the tray opens t

Here is the URL: http://www.elektr0n.com/dwm/doku.php?id=how_to_fix_the_h07_ho7_error_on_your_panasonic_dvd_player Let me add the particulars on our machine: SN = VA21A032601 Manufactured: 09/02 I managed to remove the 4 not 2 screws holding down the drive unit, I pulled the ribbon cable and the power cable using a small hemostat, and now I am stuck. The unit does not lift out 'as advertised.' I get the impression that to get to the spindle bearing I need access to the bottom of the drive unit. I then downloaded the manual and worked out how to page through it using FireFox. I see that I could quickly get into deep water regarding the optical pickup unit and static electricity. I have some ultrafine oil (my former barber sold me a bottle of clipper oil for my clippers) and fine syringes for getting oil where it is needed. I have observed that the disk mechanism turns freely, from the perspective accessible with the drive unit still in its installed orientation. Could the h07 code be from some other overheat problem. Am I chasing a will-o-the-wisp? Thanks in advance for any insights. baumgrenze Back to top vtechJoined: 08 May 2006Posts: 1261Location: USA Posted: Mon Jan 24, 2011 3:42 am Post subject: Have been out of consumer electronics for some time...I used to see this problem on a regular bases and replaced many many spindle motors on several Panasonic models that used the Exact mechanism.
