We had also tried several power downs, restarts, and removing the newer drive. share|improve this answer answered Sep 11 '11 at 10:19 Scott Szretter 95583255 Any reason why you did not call Dell? –Nils Sep 22 '11 at 21:01 Not in warranty, I was told they will not talk to us if not in warranty? –Scott Szretter Sep 24 '11 at 12:59 That`s a reason, indeed. Perhaps you could mention that next time. –Nils Sep 24 '11 at 19:55 I would add to this that Dell had me TOTALLY take the RAID card out of the box, restart it without the card, shut down again, and put the RAID card back in. This apparently /really/ reseats the card as opposed to just pushing down on it to make su

First thing it does is https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1076276-r710-error-while-booting-pcie-training-error-integrated-raid check the ram then it looks for the iDRAC card (which I don't have) and then after that is when it displays the error: pcie training error integrated raid System halted. The pcie card I have in the raid slot is the PERC H710 raid card. The green LED on the card blinks/flickers so I am hoping that's normal for it to do that. The BIOS version on the R710 is 6.0.7. Solved PCI training error slot 1 system halted Posted on 2013-08-02 Server Hardware 1 pcie training Verified Solution 5 Comments 7,973 Views Last Modified: 2013-09-04 I have a customer that has a Dell PowerEdge 840 that does not boot up. We are getting the error PCI training error. If we remove the PCI card, the server turns on and we can enter the bios normally. I have recommended to the customer that the server needs to be pcie training error replaced but we need to extract the data. If we were to find a used or new controller, assuming it is the controller that is bad, does this particular controller model save the raid configs on the drives? The device is a USC-51 (E2K-USC-51 (B) I think this would be the cheapest and quickest solution to get the server booted up. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. 0 Question by:ptsolutionsinc Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 46 Active 1 day ago Best Solution bydlethe If you still can't get it to work, then you can get a non-RAID controller and buy yourself a copy of runtime.org 's RAID reconstructor software. If the video is from a PCIe card then see if you can swap in a different card. Sometimes removing and reseating cards fixes problems. Sometimes the pci card is dead. Other times something like memory errors (less likely on a server with ECC memory) or PSU issues will surface with wierd errors like this.
