Sometimes (and thats very rare) I can watch BluRays, without any Problems. But most of the Time and I have no clue how it can be that it works once in a while and than doesn't for over 90% of the time. It happens that I can watch a Movie. And than I want to watch the same Movie again, some hours later or the next day in another language (doens't really matter, coz I don't get so far to change the language) that stupid disc won't work again, or to be more specific, the programm won't let it happen. And no matter witch Blu I put in, new or old and known to a least worked once, it doesn't works. I always get the screens you can see in the attachments. I was searching over google a lot but all I found was something slightly differnt and wrong version. So, here is my System for a better understanding: PowerDVD full Version PowerDVD SR Number DVD120702-07 (DVD120412-05) PowerDVD TR Number TR120924-073 Operating System Win 7 SP 1, x64 Bit Version I am Admin Is your PowerDVD a Retail product or bundles with HW? -? With the new update, it won't work with 3 Monitors, so I had to change that many times, and over and over again coz it updated itself. So I am stuck with the old one. But, that Problem (PowerDVD) was before that.

Can't Play Blu Ray DVD's on Desktop Started by TazDC, Nov 22 2012 03:13 PM Please log in to reply 5 replies to this topic #1 TazDC TazDC Journeyman Atomican 139 posts Posted 22 November 2012 - 03:13 PM Hi, I can't seem to play Blu Ray DVD's on my desktop. I use PowerDVD 10. The error I get is "This content is only allowed on a digital output. Ensure your display device uses a DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort connector. - (Code=0121). Run the BD Advisor tool for more information." Although, I can play them on my laptop using PowerDVD 10. Can anyone help? I don't think that I have the required connections at the back of my desktop computer. I ran the Advisor http://www.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/26806.page;jsessionid=1346A49C6D03386AE2F30265AD992AAE tool and it states that video connection type is "analog". That is the only fail in the test. My motherboard is ASUS P5Q Deluxe. My graphics card is from the ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series. Edited by TazDC, 22 November 2012 - 03:29 PM. Some newer monitors only have VGA and HDMI though. Since it says you're running analog, you're probably on VGA or using a DVI-VGA adapter. I don't know if I've tried using VGA for blu-rays, but I do know that it's a 'lower quality' connection so you should go to HDMI if you can anyway. I just googled a pic of a Radeon 4800 and it has two DVI outputs and I think that old circular analog plug that no one ever used. If you can just use DVI from your graphics card into your monitor then that should be all you need. AnyDVD HD is an excellent program that gets rid of many blu-ray hassles, though it does cost a fair bit of money and the free trial runs out pretty quick. From my own efforts pirating it, torrent versions seem to be pretty commonly malware-riddled. It has worked fine until recently. I have used it http://www.city-data.com/forum/computers/1901118-dvi-vga-cable-vs-vga-vga.html multiple times to play Blu-Ray films through HDMI connection on two different televisions, One, being a Element 32" HDTV and the other being a Insignia 22" HDTV. I have watched multiple movies on these two TV's transferred from my laptop to the TV through a HDMI cable. powerdvd error Just yesterday I attempted to play Pitch Black on the Insignia 22" HDTV (Model Number: NS-L22Q-10A). I am 100% positive that this TV has HDCP, so there is no reason that this shouldn't work all of a sudden. I just recently tried updating to the newest patch version of Cyberlink PowerDVD 10, and re-tried, with no avail. I powerdvd error code have also rolled my drivers back and updated them to the newest beta version multiple times and retried, also with no avail. I have also tried playing the film in cloned screen mode, as well as second screen only mode. When I use Cyberlink BD Adviser, I pass everything except for Video Connection Type, which says "Digital (Without HDCP)." When I attempt to play a Blu-Ray while it is plugged into the TV, Cyberlink gives me this message: "CyberLink PowerDVD is not able to play the protected content on your digital output device. Ensure your display device supports HDCP. - (Code = 0107)" Here is a copy & paste of my BD Adviser logs: Check Item BD Ready? However, I cannot play Blu-Ray discs on my computer, and receive an error message when I try to do so. My monitor uses a VGA connection, the other end of which is connected to my computer's DVI port, using a VGA to DVI adapter. My question is, do you think I would have any better luck playing Blu-Ray discs on my computer if I used a single-cable DVI to VGA cable, rather than a VGA to VGA cable that also has a VGA to DVI adapter for connecting to my computer? Or, is the fact that my monitor uses a VGA connection mean that it is no good for playing Blu-Ray discs at all, and I will have to upgrade to a monitor that has a DVI or HDMI port built-in to it? 07-04-2013, 12:58 PM plwhit 15,924 posts, read 14,003,381 times Reputation: 7565 What is the exact error message? 07-04-2013, 01:09 PM Pruzhany Location: Hod HaSharon 15,698 posts, read 16,457,822 times Reputation: 6219 Is your drive Blu-Ray compatible? My LCD monitor connects using a VGA interface, but the computer connects to a DVI port using a DVI to VGA adapter. I think the error message might be showing up b/c of the monitor's VGA connection to the monitor itself?
