It wouldn't play DVDs either if it wasn't activated. The error message makes it sound like there is something wrong with your connection or the display device you are playing the disc on. From what I know, Blu-ray content will only play with a BD player, with secure connectors (usually HDMI) and on an HD Device. I have a feeling it may be with your connectors. Can you give us some detail on your whole setup? Display device, connectors, etc. Thanks Dave This answered my question Reply Solution Chosen by Randy Newbie Private Message Joined: Jan 06, 2009 18:46 Messages: 2 Offline Jan 06, 2009 19:17 Sorry to bump in but the original poster apparently didn't return to this thread. I am having the same exact problem and can't figure it out. I have PowerDVD 8 on a Core 2 Duo computer with a HIS ATI Radeon 3850 card. My drive is an LG HD-DVD/BluRay drive so I should be able to play both formats. This is running on Windows XP Pro w/SP3. I upgraded to the latest Catalyst drivers last night (version 8.12) but still that didn't fix the problem. I am using the DVI-to-HDMI adapter that came with the graphics card with a new HDMI cable connected to my 42" Sharp Aquos. I also tried another cable which has a DVI connector in one end and an HDMI connector on the other end, therefore,
– (Error Code = 0122) You may try the following resolution to solve the problem.
- Incompatible graphics driver. Please make sure your graphics drivr meets the minimum requirement criteria. (More information can be found from Cyberlink FAQ Website)
- Do not use dual-monitor to playback this movie (Clone Mode)
You probably have two outputs on your video card. One is HDMI, and the other is a http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/3635.page VGA output, also known as the PC output. Right now, your video card is configured to display on both outputs. If you have an NVIDIA display adapter and are running Windows Vista, here is how to turn off 'Clone'. Right click anywhere on the background Click 'NVIDIA Control panel' Click 'Set up multiple displays' in the left https://staff.washington.edu/curreri/clone-error-on-playing-blu-ray-movies-in-powerdvd/ column Under 1. Choose the nView display mode to use, select 'Only use one display (Single)' Under 2. Select the display you would like to use, select the monitor that is connected to your HDMI output. In this case, I selected 'Sony TV XV (2 of 2)'. Click 'Apply'. The screen will blank out for a second, this is necessary because we are reconfiguring the screen. Now play your Blu-ray movie!
