Powerdvd Error F4d41436
by Tom Tom Newbie Private Message Joined: Apr 26, 2007 15:10 Messages: 1 Offline Solved by Apr 29, 2007 11:25 Just installed PowerDVD XP 4.0 on a mini-tower with 17" LCD monitor. PowerDVD error message F4D41436 occurs when attempting to view copywrite DVDs. I suspect PowerDVD is sensing the configuration of the LCD monitor which defaults to "Analog in" port Active. Has anyone experienced same symptoms? Tom Reply Solution Chosen by Tom Daisuke Contributor Private Message Joined: Oct 03, 2006 06:25 Messages: 354 Offline Apr 30, 2007 03:52 Hello. Mooncalf Senior member Joined: Dec 5, 2000 Messages: 805 Likes Received: 0 I just installed version 3, rebooted, then installed the XP patch and rebooted again. If I put in a dvd it brings up a DVD error code F4D41436 saying "the tv out port of your display card is not working properly". Clicking on detailed http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/1269.page says "This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled." Two questions, one being how do I disable my tv out port if it isn't being used and there is no place I can find that says that it is enabled or gives the option to disable out. The other being, that means even if I wanted to use my pc dvd drive and watch a movie on a tv https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/cant-get-powerdvd-to-work-error-code-f4d41436.1004277/ that I can't? I can't get a reply from nVidia, PowerDVD, or VisionTek and this still isn't working. I have since uninstalled and installed version 4 and tried it with and without the patches for that all yielding the same result. #2 Mooncalf, Mar 9, 2003 onza Diamond Member Joined: Sep 21, 2000 Messages: 8,965 Likes Received: 0 just use windvd if you can, i had problems with powerdvd changed to windvd, and its works great #3 onza, Mar 9, 2003 Mooncalf Senior member Joined: Dec 5, 2000 Messages: 805 Likes Received: 0 Just got an interesting reply from Nvidia. They state The 41.09 and future drivers have more stringent checks in the driver to comply with the latest Macrovision requirements. If the TV encoder does not support Macrovision, you will get the "Macrovision Distribution Failed" error message or a similar message depending on which DVD software player you are using. The BT868 and Conexant CX25870 TV encoders do not support Macrovision. If your graphics card is equipped with one of these TV encoders, then it will not support DVD pla

Ok, so I'm like why do they even care. When I press the Detailed button, I get this: "This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled." But the problem is I'm not even trying to watch it on tv, I want to watch it on my pc-screen. It just happens so that my graphics powerdvd error f4d41436 card has a tv out, but it's not active or anything. Is there a patch or something I can do so I can watch dvd's again?
