Out of the blue no network users can connect to our quickbooks error 6000 832 company file and they get the dreaded -6000, -83 error. Nothing has changed on our server which is 2008 R2 Standard. I've tried quickbooks error code 6000 77 every one of the suggestions here http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/Support/Articles/SLN40226 to no avail. If I copy the company files to the local workstations they open fine which tells me there is an issue with the sharing or DB manager. I'm a network quickbooks error 6000 80 admin and I've verified permissions and pathways and have tried UNC, IP address, host names, mapped drives, etc. In each instance I can get to a login screen but once I try to login to the company file I get the -6000, -83 error. I've tried updating/reinstalling QB on the server (since there is no way to just update/reinstall the database manager by itself). Anyone know how to fix this!? Comment Asked by den QuickBooks

I suggest to move the data file to a different folder location and re-set up the folder permission. Let me know if you can open the file after moving it to a different folder location.
