Appears this was part of a company intranet install. It installed/registered fine, replaced my old QB 2009 Pro version. It converted all my files fine. Was able to open them and they looked great. Turned computer off last night, restarted this morning and now I cannot access any of the converted files. Tells me "Company file is in use by another program" then, gives me option to launch QB File Doctor. I launch File Doctor, then get error codes -6144, -82 (same for all 3 company files I have). I can continue beyond that, it analyzes the problem etc, then tells me the file(s) is fine but there are additional messages (see attached screenshot). There is an option during the File Doctor process to choose whether my computer is a Server (chosen by default) or a workstation. I have tried them both and outcome is the same except the messages at bottom of the final window are a bit different. I've attached a screenshot of the what the final window looks like if "Server" option is chosen. Anyone have any ideas? It also tells me the folder my file is in is not shared... I have declined the option to share it because this it says this makes the data available on our network, but perhaps that would clear the issue? We actually do not have a LAN setup here, so perhaps that sharing option is not even a concern?
