When it's happened in the past, I've been able to restore the company file from a recent backup and it works. However, this time, it's giving me the error on the backup. The other 2 files https://community.intuit.com/questions/1181688-error-codes-6144-83 work with no issues. I've ran the File Doctor and it showed no issues with the file. Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other Answer Hi jvetter, This is a possible folder location problem. I encountered that on other clients and a different location works https://community.intuit.com/questions/996044-why-do-i-receive-error-6144-82-on-1-of-our-3-company-files for them. If you like, you can use the new location first to access your file and you can observe in a couple of days if the problem will reoccur. Also, you can place the other 2 company files on that new folder so all of them will be placed on one location only.☺ If the problem occurs, please let us know right away. Was this answer helpful? But since it still didn’t quickbooks error code work, then I’ll let you do the following steps: *Create a new folder outside the main folder where your file is. *Have a copy of your file to that folder *Open the file or re-browse it again on QuickBooks using the new location. I’ve tried that step before and yes, it worked! ;) Hope it would work as well on your end. If not, then let me know so i can still help you out. :) Was this answer helpful?
