The drive [drive letter] is invalid Why this is happening This error occurs when the drive listed in the error message is unavailable during the installation. This could happen if your computer becomes disconnected from a network drive, or because of the removal of a portable storage device, such as a USB flash drive or digital camera. If you have removed a portable storage device from your system, reconnect it, and then try to install again. If you continue to receive the same error, restart your computer and then try again. If the error still persists, proceed to the steps outlined below. Note: When disconnecting any portable storage device in Windows, Intuit strongly recommends that you click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Microsoft Windows System Tray (located in the lower right corner of the Desktop) and follow the instructions. How to fix it Windows 10 Intuit recommends several solutions for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try them all. Solution 1: Install while you are logged off the network On your keyboard, press Windows logo + R to open the Run window. Enter Control Panel and select OK. Click View by drop-down arrow and select Small icons. Open the Network and Sharing Center. On the left pane, click Change adapter setting Right-click each of the adapter listed and select Disable where available. Note: You might receive messages that your connection has been list.
