Please try again later. If the problem persists contact Intuit technical support and provide them with the following error code (-6138,-1005). Why this is happening The error could occur when trying to open a QuickBooks Desktop company file in the old or previous version of QuickBooks program which was updated in the newer version of Quickbooks program. We host the quickbook file on a Mac xServe server. We can open the file on one PC but when we try to open it on a second PC, it doesn't allow us. We never had the issue with hosting the quickbooks file on the mac server while we were running our PC's with the 2007 version. This is the message that appears for us on the second PC when we try to open the same quickbooks file that is hosted on the mac server: Error:-6138,-82 "You do not have sufficient permissions to the specified folder. To use QuickBooks in a multi-user environment, you must have read/write access and create/delete rights to the folder where the company file is stored." Any help would be greatly appreciated!
