I'm using QB Pro Plus 2016 in a multi-user setting. The .qbw file opens fine quickbooks error 0 on the server computer, but not on the workstation. It shows error codes 6150 and 1006. The workstation computer recently had a new windows 10 installtion and it has been since https://community.intuit.com/articles/1021344-error-6150-1006 that install that the error codes appeared. I've ran QB File doctor on both machines and the only thing that showed was that the server computer has Microsoft Security Essentials running and the to add QB Pro 2016 to the exceptions list. I did that and QBFD still shows that as a problem. I turned off Windows Security Essentials and QBFD https://community.intuit.com/questions/1303535-how-do-i-fix-error-codes-6150-and-1006-that-appear-only-on-the-workstation didn't show any problems. The workstation still shows error codes 6150 and 1006. I tried opening the .qbw file directly from the file location on the workstation and that also failed. QB file still opens fine on server computer. I checked both machines for CryptoWall virus and both seem clean. 3 comments × Close Why do you want to report this? Have you tried to copying the company file from the server and putting it in the local drive of a station to see if you can open it from there? Any added details will much appreciated. Thanks! I tried copying the .qbw file to the first workstation and received the same error messages. I downloaded and installed the software on another workstation, trie

Join Now Hello all, Need your advice on corrupt QuickBooks .qbw file. So, I restored some data from hard drive with broken partition/bad sectors. All I needed was a QuickBooks company file. My major problem is that file doesn't open in QuickBooks 2013, it throws an error: 61050, 1006 (corrupt file or virus by QuickBooks). I agree that file may be corrupt. So, I attempted to use quickbooks file doctor program but it doesn't repair company file. I also tried to rename file with .qbb format and restore it, but it fails. I'm not sure what version of the QuickBooks was on user's crashed hard drive and what version was used to create a company. I've heard it does matter... So, if you guys know any method or program I can use to restore corrupt company files, please let me know. VERY appreciate YOUR help! Also, in same folder where I saw data file there were bunch of other files with following extensions: lgb, qbw.nd, tlg, rid. Hope that makes any sense. 0 Ghost Chili OP JustRob Mar 12, 2015 at 5:28 UTC leobraverman wrote: The partition was mess
