the xbox 360? every time i try to connect to the xbox live network, this message appears. What exactly does this mean? User Info: skip_2_my_lu_1 skip_2_my_lu_1 - 7 years ago Top Voted Answer Although the answer is http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/f/9/t/421141.aspx technically correct, it's not an answer. The real answer is that the Marketplace servers are overloaded and can't service all the requests. I have been getting this error the past week or so; my connection is fine and everything works great, I can play online with friends, etc., I even watched a streamed movie...just the market place is down. The correct answer is:"If you have verified your connection then the problem is simply the http://www.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/927749-xbox-360/answers/141693-what-does-status-code-80072ee2-mean-on-the-xbox-360 Marketplace is down, you will have to wait till M$ fixes it or less people are on."P.S.: To Bill Gates: "King Billy, get your boys act together, this kind of crap costs you money" User Info: Opossum9000 Opossum9000 - 7 years ago 2 0 Answers From Microsoft: This problem occurs because your connection to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace or to the download files has timed out. Posts: 5,953 Windows Update error 80072ee2 Okay so I just pulled an all nighter upgrading a friends computer http://oldforums.gearboxsoftware.com/oldforums/20150308111838/http://oldforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=67334 to Vista (after accidentally deleting the C: partition and battling the dreaded ntldr http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=423591 missing error) and after finally getting everything running again, Windows update gave me this error: Windows Update error 80072ee2 Now, Windows help isn't much of that at all... It says Quote: Windows Update error 80072ee2 If you receive Windows Update error 80072ee2 while checking for updates, you might need to add the website addresses status code from which Windows Update downloads updates to your firewall exceptions or "allow" list. To add the Windows Update websites to a firewall exceptions listWindows Firewall ships with this version of Windows and should already include these sites in the exceptions list. If you use a different firewall, refer to the software publisher's help to see how to add these websites to your firewall exceptions list:http://*.update.microsoft.com https://*.update.microsoft.com http://download.windowsupdate.com Well, status code 445e I have no other firewall installed, just NoD32. And there is no option in the Windows Firewall exceptions to add websites to your exceptions list, only programs. So what you do is this: 1. Open "Windows Firewall Settings" > Click on the "Exceptions" tab at the top 2. At the bottom, click on "Add Program..." 3. Click on "Browse..." 4. Go to your \Windows\system32 folder, and locate "wusa.exe" (at the bottom normally) This is the Windows Update Standalone installer. 5. Check for updates, problem should be solved. Thought this could be of help to anyone that runs into this error, as it seems to be common, but the fix is rare. __________________ Random cheeky text here DeV View Public Profile Send a private message to DeV Find More Posts by DeV February 28th, 2008, 10:41 AM #2 Waffles Marshmellows? View My Profile Extremely long load times, sign in time, and status code EDIT: See post #5. Another new issue going on now for me. Recently within the last month, the dashboard takes an absurd amount of time to load. I see the spinning icon for about a minute until everything either shows up, or gives me "status code 80072ee2." It also takes forever to sign in. I'm talking almost two minutes of staring at "signing in." Ever since the new dashboard I have had these problems, but it seems to be getting worse and worse. There are no service alerts (like usual) and my internet should be fine. It was working great before the new dashboard and it was even working fine with it, until now. I have reset my stuff multiple times, cleared caches, I've done everything. My speed tests fine, just the way it should. Just anything relating to Xbox or Xbox LIVE is MEGA slow all of sudden. Like right now at this very moment, I am on the dashboard and it thinks I'm not connected to LIVE even though I can see all my friends online and what they are doing, it's just none of the ads or marketplace stuff will load. Can someone please give me some concrete answers here? I'm sick of searching around and finding no answers whatsoever to these ANNOYING AS HELL problems. One final note, I'm thinking of making a transition back to PC gaming. That's what I was back in the day (the late 90's and early 2000's) and never had STUPID problems like these. Sick of Microsoft/Xbox and their bullshit services. __________________ I have moved to PC gaming, so I won't be on Xbox LIVE anymore. Last edited by Nevander; 02-17-2013 at 04:21 AM.
