We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines: Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English. Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold. Be concise. 2014 R8 December 18, 201411 Comments Written by Charlie Russell Intuit released the QuickBooks 2014 R8 update for the U.S. version of QuickBooks. This is available as a manual update from the Intuit support website, and I believe that it is also being pushed out immediately as an automatic update at the same time (but I’m not sure of that yet). I don’t have any information on non-U.S. versions. Here’s a rundown on what has been changed 1099 Forms: This release fixes an issue that caused Box 7 on the 1099 to not map correctly. Banking: Corrects an issue that caused the sync with an American Express account in Bank Feeds to fail. QuickBooks Crashes: An issue that caused QuickBooks to close unexpectedly when trying to use Intuit Sync Manager to upload a customized form template has been corrected. Performance: You will see improved performance with the QuickBooks internal browser when using the software on a computer with Internet Explorer 11. Payroll: QuickBooks will now display the correct due date on the warning message for exceeding $100,000 in federal tax liability. An issue that caused an "Unrecoverable error" or "QuickBooks has stopped working" message when e-filing the AZ Unemployment UC-018 form was fixed. Utilities: This release fixes issues that caused the error "Verify Customer Message list. Duplicate name encountered" and "Verify Custom Template list. Duplicate name encountered" to be displayed These are important fixes but they are fairly small in scope, so if you have been running into these problems I would go ahead and install the update. If you haven’t run into these issues then I would hold off a bit just to see if any new problems were introduced. 1099 Bank Feeds Internet Explorer Payroll Sync Manager What Bill.com Can Do for your Business How to Make Your Practice a “Best Place to Work” You may also like Cloud Accounting • QuickBooks QuickBooks Online Accountant and ProConnect Tax Online October 24, 2016by Charlie RussellAdd Comment QuickBooks QuickBooks EMV Liability Shift October 19, 2016by Carrie KahnAdd Comment QuickBooks QuickBooks 2014 R14 Released October 13, 2016by Charlie RussellAdd Comment QuickBooks QuickBooks 2015 R12 Released October 12, 2016by Charlie Russe
