XP Some of our users get the error messages "NSD IS RUNNING" and Notes client shuts down and they have to restart the computer. Have tried to delete catche.ndk, reinstall Notes, nothining helps until
Nsd -kill Command
the computer gets reinstalled. Does anyone know how to solve the problem? Is it to little memory or somthing in the Windows registry that creates the "NSD IS RUNNING" errormessage?? Notes System Diagnostic; How to run a manual NSD on a Domino Server Technote (FAQ) Question While troubleshooting a Lotus Domino server or Lotus Notes client issue, it may be necessary to run a manual NSD. How can this be accomplished? Answer 1. Open a Windows Command Prompt (Start-->Run-->CMD) 2. http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/0/fa78e24a86fe4d7b8525708a0033dec4%3FOpenDocument Navigate to the Notes/Domino data directory: 3. When this user replies to emails he gets the message "NSD is running". I have tried restoring from backup and reinstalling the client.Any SuggestionsThanks in advance RE: error message "nsd is running" fishkake (MIS) 4 Mar 05 09:25 I have seen this problem many times, but never so consistent. I used to get this error message at apparently random times of the day, and I'd often have to reboot to get Notes back.We never did find the cause, but it didn't seem to affect users with newer, higher-spec PCs, so its possible that its related to CPU resources, RAM, etc. RE: error message "nsd is running" killpass123 (TechnicalUser) 18 May 05 04:03 Hi scalie,I had a similar problem with my notes client recently , no sure whether you continue to face the same problem now. I used to get "NSD is running" error when ever i tried to add/save attachements in notes. I checked the ACL on the folder where the notes client is installed. everything was fine. I just re-created the user's login profile. Luckily
