Usually you'll find these codes at the end of a Windows Installer verbose log, when a problem has occurred. It can look something like this: MSI (c) (B8:50) [12:43:49:297]: MainEngineThread is returning 1601 Number Description Error Code 0 Completed Successfully. ERROR_SUCCESS 13 Data is Invalid. ERROR_INVALID_DATA 87 One of the parameters was invalid. ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER 120 This function is only available for Win 2000 and Windows XP with Windows Installer v2.0. ERROR_CALL_NOT_IMPLEMENTED 1259 This error code only occurs when using Windows Installer version 2.0 and Windows XP or later.
