been reported. I'm not the biggest computer techie so bare with me please. Alright, so I just windows installer service cannot be accessed uninstall got this computer about a week ago and would really really really appreciate any help for this problem. I had java on my computer for gaming
Windows Installer Service Cannot Be Accessed Server 2003
and such, and I got an error 1723 on it (the error you get when you have more than 1 types of java or just an incomplete java file which causes it so that you can't un-install newer versions of java or you https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2438651 cant replace older versions of java) Anyways, after a long time of searching through the internet, I found a solution on this website which is why im posting my new problem here. The solution was to go into Register Keys and delete anything related to java, and so I did (took a really long time but i was determined) and after that, everything related to java was deleted so I tried installing java again but when I did an error came up with the windows installer. βThe http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/windows-installer-error-please-help feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available" And then when I click cancel this pops up "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it." So, I assume that the problem has to do with me deleting something on the Register Keys because I can download other things, but when I try and download java, that error keeps coming up. Please guys, I'd really appreciate help. Thanks. This can occur if windows installer has not been installed correctly. Contact your support personnel for assistance." And I've tried to install the "Fixitnow" thing but that same message pops up Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top GuiltySpark Posts: 4024 This post has been reported. I don't know if i've set one :S Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top boomer111 Posts: 12 This post has been reported. service could not be accessed" Error Recently, a friend of mine tried to install a program on his Windows Vista machine and the computer http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/how-to-fix-the-windows-installer-service-could-not-be-accessed-error/ gave the blue screen of death error. After he restarted his computer, he tried to run a different program and he got the following message: The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. If you are getting this error in Vista, here are a few things you can windows installer try to fix it! Method 1 "β Make sure the Windows Installer service is started Sometimes, if the Installer service is disabled, you will get this error. You can turn it on by going to Start, then Run and typing in Services.msc. Then scroll down to Windows Installer and double-click on it. Set the Startup Type to Manual and click windows installer service Start to start the service. You can also start the service by going to Start, Run and type in net start MSIServer into the Run box. Method 2 "β Delete MSIEXEC with no extension Another strange thing that can happen is the creation of a second msiexec file in your C:\Windows\system32 directory. By default, there should only be one msiexec.exe file in that directory, but sometimes another one gets created with no extension and a size of 0 KB. If that is the case, then you should rename the extra msiexec file with a .OLD extension. Once you rename it, then you can restart the Windows Installer service. Again, just go to Services and right click on Windows Installer and choose Restart. Method 3 "β Modify Remote Procedure Call Service Sometimes the issue can be caused by another service called Remote Procedure Call. Go to the Services section again like mentioned above (Start, Run, services.msc) and right-click on Remote Procedure Call (Not the one that says RPC Locator) and choose Properties. Now click on the Log On ta
