I have bad image error windows 10 a Toshiba with Windows Vista and lately I keep getting a window come up with this message every time I try to open up a new programme or window. This is the message I get when I open Google Chrome for example: chrome.exe-Bad Image C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~3\GOEC62~1.DLL is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the programe again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. I can't afford to take it to a computer shop to be fixed or get Microsoft to do it so it would be so great if you could guide me through what I can do to fix it. I'm doing my exams and essays for final year at Uni at the moment so this computer hassle is the last thing I need! Thank you in advance! I've got myself a problem. I recently purchased a game, and every time I try to https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-exe-bad-image-error-windows-vista.996193/ run it, I get a "bad Image" error. The msg reads "not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error". I contacted the software company, and they told me I must have a bad copy, so I exchanged it for a new one with the same results. This same error also occured when I tried to load up a demo of a different title. I'm at a loss as to http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/bad-image-error-on-windows-vista-please-help.97511/ what is going on or how to fix it. Please help! I'm running Windows Vista home premuim if that helps at all. Thanks! It should say a file name in front of that. For example, "Explorer.exe is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error" If there, what is the file One thing you can try if it is in fact an image file. Is to extract all the files from the .img file in to a HDD directory. Jan 22, 2008 #2 novasmack TS Rookie Topic Starter "C:\Windows\system32\d3dx9_33.dll" is the file name. It a mystery to me. I'm not much of a computer expert, I'm really at a loss of how to fix this one. Any suggestion helps, thanks!
