Can anyone tell me what was happening with those 2 lines and if I should replace them with anything or should I just continue on without them. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like you have an earlier version so you can either install a later version or provided you have register_globals set to on in your php.ini file I think you can just delete (or comment out) this call. Are there other tweeks to this file I should look at? Following the advice to upgrade PHP instead is scary to me as I am running a cobalt box, and I am afraid of causing an issue with the systems management interface that depends on the version of PHP this is installed. I am brand new to this app, and just need a nudge in the right direction to get it going.
