You can follow this steps to make sure LDAP works in your XAMPP: [Your Drive]:\xampp\php\php.ini: In this file uncomment the following line: extension=php_ldap.dll Move the file: libsasl.dll, from [Your Drive]:\xampp\php to [Your Drive]:\xampp\apache\bin Restart Apache. You can now use functions of the LDAP Module! If you use Linux: sudo apt-get install php5-ldap running the above command should do the trick. share|improve this answer edited Sep 1 '15 at 12:53 Gottlieb Notschnabel 3,87083466 answered Jul 4 '13 at 12:27 sushant-hiray 8771019 1 in my case for linux it was yum install php-ldap, package installed but still not able to login, maybe i need to restart ampps. :( –Yogesh Mar 8 at 13:24 1 Copying the file is the key! I've got a WAMP5 install which integrates PHP Version 5.2.4, Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) and MYSQL on a Win XP machine. All works fine, but I can't get LDAP support to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14415879/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-ldap-connect-in-wamp work. I've checked extension_dir = "c:/wamp/php/ext/" and extension=php_ldap.dll in php.ini and checked the dll is actually in that folder. I've copied libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll to the c:windows\system32 folder With this code : $host = "192.168.56.25"; if (!$ldapconn = ldap_connect($host, 80)) { echo "Error! Could not connect to LDAP host $host\n"; } I get this error : Fatal error: Call to undefined function ldap_connect()... I don't know where to start checking because I guess all conditions are achieved for my WAMP to take into consideration Ldap. Please help! I enabled LDAP in the C:\Windows\PHP.ini file. I put the proper dll's in the Windows\System32 folder (and Windows\System just to be safe). I've restarted the IIS service and restarted the server itself, yet I still am getting: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ldap_connect() in d:\fltcwww\www\authenticateFunctions.php on line 77 Its not the code, as I've had it working on another web server. I'm running IIS 6, anything extra I have to do to get it to work properly? I still can't get it to work properly. I put the DLLs in all the right folders, commented out the LDAP extension, and it
