Additionally, "libmysql.dll" file must be available to Apache, i.e., it must be either in available in Windows systems PATH or in Apache working directory. See more about installing MySQL extension in manual. P.S. I would advise to consider MySQL extension as deprecated and to use MySQLi or even PDO for working with databases (I prefer PDO). share|improve this answer answered Mar 3 '11 at 10:37 binaryLV 6,7421933 1 use phpinfo() to find out which php.ini is the right one. –Pekka 웃 Mar 3 '11 at 10:38 which php.ini is the right one mins? –user389055 Mar 3 '11 at 10:41 "Uncomment the line extension=php_mysql.dll in your php.ini and restart Apache" i did this allready –user389055 Mar 3 '11 at 10:42 Ensure that extension_dir in "php.ini" points to the correct

on Vista. I expected everything http://www.devnetwork.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=84309 to run smoothly. But, it was really not the case. As I tried to connect to MySQL using PHP code, I got stuck with the following error:"Fatal call to error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()"But, finally I cracked the problem. If the same problem is annoying you, please follow the solution below:To connect PHP to MySQL "php_mysql.dll" is required. We need to mention the call to undefined location "php_mysql.dll" in "php.ini"(configuration file). 1)Open "php.ini" in some text editor.2) Search for the line "extension_dir = "./" " and mentionthe path of "ext" folder in place of "./". For example if youhave installed PHP in "C:/program Files" then change"extension_dir = "./" " to"extension_dir = "C:/Program Files/php/ext" ".3) Search for the line "extension=modulename.extension"(You will find it in Dynamic Extensions) and change it to"extension=php_mysql.dll".Learn to Earn Money Online Visit: http://online-income-sources.blogspot.com Previous Chapter Home Your Ad Here Chapters : 1.Introduction 2.Download appropriate packages. 3.Disable UAC and IIS. 4.Installing Apache 2.2.6 5.Installing PHP 5.2.5 6.Installing MySQL 5.0.45 7.Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()
