I installed that package, but can't get it to work. Perhaps a reboot of the machine would do it (although I don't know when I will be able to)? –EGr Jun 28 '13 at 21:05 It worked for me. But the fix was to use yum to install php-odbc. yum install php-odbc share|improve this answer edited Aug 24 '12 at 7:52 j0k 17.4k114960 answered Aug 23 '12 at 20:17 John Veldboom 31425 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Did you add it to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH? Check the documentation for your server, it may require third-party libraries to be in a specific sub-directory, or have some other mechanism for finding them. If so, you should be able to create a symbolic link to the library. That way, if it gets updated, your server will automatically use it. share|improve this answer answered Aug 5 '11 at 16:32 TMN 2,6691222 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote We had this problem al

I'm trying to connect to an access database through php following an old article on the site. I'm getting the fatal error "call to undefined function: odbc_connect()" Does this have something to do with the version of php running on the server or what could be the problem? Thanks. After installing php4-odbc and adding the line extension=odbc.so it worked. Hope it helps others....
