I've non-static method sqlite3::open() cannot be called statically been working on this project for hours only to hit a wall that I just can't get over. I made a small database that I created using an sql manager from firefox, and the database does contain data and has a .sqlite extension. But not matter what I try looking at other people's questions and the answers, I just can't get it to work. Every time I think I've got it it throws

a new error. Does anyone think they could help me pinpoint the problem? I've been going at this for so long and I'm so frustrated at this point I don't know what to do anymore. I'm running my site through XAMPP and receive this error from the PHP: Fatal error: Call to undefined function sqlite_open() in C:\xampp\htdocs\Projects\FinalProject\You_Shall_Pass.php on line 4 I attempted to edit XAMPP's php.ini to support sqlite, but it's still not connecting, and I've changed the connection method a few times now with no results other than a slight change in error. If anyone can help, I can't even tell you how grateful I am. I'm at my wits end with this project, and my book doesn't really seem to explain anywhere how to connect to an sqlite file. Code: query("SELECT idUser FROM user WHERE name = '$login'"); } ?> UPDATE: Switching my database file extension to db from sqlite and opening it through sqlite3 as was suggested below got rid of the error, but now I have two new ones: Undefine

(and why not just use class 'sqlite3' not found the PDO_sqlite driver in any case) I am still smarting over lost hours on this today, but if you were to make your database with some GUI tool, make sure it doesn't make an http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27347565/sqlite-to-php-connection-trouble sqlite2 database for you, or you will end up with less hair than me. If it tells you it can convert it to sqlite3 then do not believe it. (grrrr) robotwink 2009-07-28 19:04:08 UTC #5 Hello, Yes, it's there in phpinfo. I believe PDO_sqlite is slower that's why they are offering sqlite3 now. Am I wrong? Cups 2009-07-28 19:28:27 UTC #6 Well I am using PDO and it https://www.sitepoint.com/community/t/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-sqlite3-open/5295 just picked up sqlite3, speed - cant say I have tested it - I seldom use sqlite at all. If its appearing your phpinfo() then I cannot see why it is not working, sorry. Please help. PHP is telling you the function does not exist. Are you forgetting to include something in your index.php file? Does SQLite have some .php files you need to include in the php you want to use its functions in? robotwink 2009-07-28 19:44:29 UTC #8 Hi, Here's what is showing in my phpinfo: sqlite3 SQLite3 support enabled SQLite3 module version 0.7-dev SQLite Library 3.6.15 Directive Local Value Master Value sqlite3.extension_dir no value no value And here is my code:

April 2013 07:48 Hi all,I started using Xampp a little time ago, yesterday a new problem occured. When I run a php-file, he shows nothing, or a part of the code.So i ran this code:Code: Select all
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors', '1');
require_once('classes/Database.php');
$db = new Database('database/pages.db');
$db->query("SELECT * FROM Pages");
if($db->numRows() call to == 0) {
echo"No articles";
} else {
foreach($db->rows() as $article) {
echo $article['title'],'
';
}
echo '
', $db->numRows(), ' articles
';}
$db->disconnect();
?>My browser showed me:query("SELECT * FROM Pages"); if($db->numRows() == 0) { echo"No articles"; } else { foreach($db->rows() as $article) { echo $article['title'],''; } echo call to undefined '', $db->numRows(), ' articles'; } $db->disconnect(); ?>Strange, because when I run this script on a webhost, everything works!Also I tried a simple test like:Code: Select all echo 'Hello world'; ?>Screen was empty.I have searched on the internet for similiar problems, but it didn't help me out.I am sure i am running the control-panel of xampp with apache and mysql.Who can help me out?Another thing: I have tried to use wampserver, to check it's my fault or xampp. wampserver gives me the same problem!So guys, who can help me out?Thank you all!Bob webmasterbob Posts: 2Joined: 10.
