The best way to find out is to do the following: 1) Disable your plugins one-by-one and try the post function you're having problems with after you disable each, until you can narrow down the plugin that may be causing the issue. If you remove all the plugins and the error still occurs, then move on to step 2. 2) Change the theme to the base theme (twenty-ten, twenty-eleven, or twenty-twelve) . We just want to see if the website is having an issue with the upgrade based on the theme. 3) If the theme or upgrade is identified as the issue. Please either replace, upgrade or find

I did not receive this behavior when I updated my demo from 3.5.2 to 3.6 for what it's worth. It must have been an issue with your installation. Hopefully it got fixed when you upgraded to 3.6 and you won't experience it in the future. Thanks a lot for updating your post with the information for other people who come across this same issue though, I appreciate it! Todd repliedAugust 10, 2013 at 12:12pm Wanted to share this just in case anyone else may have this issue: AS you can see in above comments, I was having trouble after an upgrade to WP 3.6. The odd thing is that even after updating, the admin panel said I was still using 3.5.2 and there was an update available. Following Brian's advice, I deactivated all plugins and uploaded new theme files and complete manual update for WP 3.6. After doing so, I still got the message in the admin screen that there was an available update to 3.6 and the issues I was havin still existed. After sleeping on it for a few hours, I logged in and it prompted me to update my database and now the theme is working fine. I am wondering if there isn't some odd caching going on with my web hosting company. The manual update should have prompted the immediate message to udate the database but i did not. It wasn't until several hours later tha it prompted me to do so and only after doing a manual update, the autoupdate in WP never worked. Anyway, it does not appear to be any issue with the theme but it is a bit of a head-scratcher nonetheless. We have a lot of traffic at the site and I suspect the hosting company has something to do with it as I am bouncing on the ceiling limits of the virtual server plan I have and have often times over-used the CPU (so they say) and I think they may be caching the whole lot for me without telling me they are.
