The error message points to $row = $results->fetch_row(); This is the whole code: query($query); if(!$results) { echo $link->error; } else { $row = $results->fetch_row(); $wanted_result = $row[0]; } ?> Where is the cause for this? EDIT: I solved it by replacing if(!$results) with if(!is_object($results)) and it works. php mysql mysqli share|improve this question edited Jan 14 '13 at 16:04 Michael Berkowski 181k23275275 asked Jan 14 '13 at 15:58 Jacky Rank 3015 closed as too localized by Wesley Murch, Michael Berkowski, cmbuckley, Jocelyn, Devin Burke Jan 15 '13 at 3:55 This question is unlikely to help any future visitors; it is only relevant to a small geographic area, a specific moment in time, or an extraordinarily narrow situation that is not generally applicable to the worldwide audience of the internet. Basically, my first code snippet works fine, call to it gets the navigation from the database with no problem. Here's my code.
