Fatal Error Call To Undefined Function Wordpress
site PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function define() in index.php on line 14 The site works for several days(weeks in some cases), no one touches it, and then it suddenly starts logging these errors. It's a Windows 2008 R2 box. Has PHP fallen over? How would I go about looking into it further. Restarting IIS fixes the issue. The problem was a memory issue like @Latheesan said in the comments. Please take a look at your php error_log to verify a memory issue. Open your wp-setting.php file and add the below line almost on top of the file. define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '40M' );// you can try it with more or a bit less memory You can find more helpful information here. share|improve this answer answered Dec 7 '15 at 10:36 swidmann 2,3661725 No memory issue as far as I can see. phpinfo says memory_limit is 128M –pee2pee Dec 7 '15 at 10:49 did you take a look into your error_log? the 40M is just an example, you can try more if needed –swidmann

I made a function in template.php which returns a string: '; } ?> https://www.drupal.org/node/237562 When I call that function... ...and display the page logged in as USER #1, everything is normal. HOWEVER, when not logged in as user #1 the page stops parsing and displays... Fatal error: Call to undefined function signature() in C:\wamp\www\activize\includes\common.inc(1537) : eval()'d code on line 19 ...which is a headache. Any suggestions as to what this may be? Try making a module, enabling it, and putting the function in that module. And, this is DEFINATELY not critical. Troubleshooting » Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_raise_memory_limit() Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_raise_memory_limit() mleder @mleder 2 months ago Error message accessing the backend in v 4.6: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_raise_memory_limit() in /var/www/html/mysite.com/wwwroot/wp-admin/admin.php https://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-wp_raise_memory_limit/ on line 141 How this occurred: 1) upgraded from 4.5.3 using one-click update inside https://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-wp_removable_query_args-1/ admin panel. 2) upgrade failed, as admin area was no longer available. Front end was still visible and working. 3) deleted ALL plugins using FTP, only about 6 on this site. 4) manually upgraded WP using FTP. Reapplied all permissions. Restarted nginx. 5) Message as shown above. Notes: in wp-config, there is an entry: ‘define( call to ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', ‘128M' );' Viewing 7 replies - 1 through 7 (of 7 total) girlieworks @girlieworks 2 months ago Hi, @mleder. The wp_raise_memory_limit function is defined in WordPress's /wp-includes/functions.php file; so try manually uploading that file again to the server, to see if that resolves the error. mleder @mleder 2 months ago I wish it were so, checked the functions.php file in 4.6 package, does have the php routine call to undefined as the last item on that page. Uploaded the functions.php to the wp-admin folder (overwriting the existing one, which had the same date and time stamp). Restarted nginx. Same error. alwinsol @alwinsol 1 month, 4 weeks ago I had the same problem Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_raise_memory_limit() in /var/sites/d/devcodeadventures.com/public_html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 141 I'm not sure how to FTP to my site. safemachine1 @safemachine1 1 month, 3 weeks ago I have the same problem, I updated WordPress to the latest version, and now whenever I try to access anything I get the message. I don't understand half of the original post (sorry), can anyone explain what to do in simple terms. Thanks in advance… mleder @mleder 1 month, 3 weeks ago For me, I found that immediately BEFORE you initiate an update (either manually via FTP) or by clicking the update link in the admin area, that any caching that runs on the site needs to be flushed out. Once I started this procedure on other sites that needed to be updated (on the same server), I no longer had problems. alibasheer @alibasheer 1 month, 3 weeks ago I faced the same issue, and I solved it this way: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/238043/admin-blank-page-with-working-front-end-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-6 Luke Cavanagh @luke
Troubleshooting » Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_removable_query_args() Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_removable_query_args() MSingAste @msingaste 10 months, 1 week ago Attempt to upgrade to 4.4 was hanging. Refreshed to try it again. Removed .maintenance file. Now get the following when trying to access the Dashboard: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_removable_query_args() in /homepages/25/d161191648/htdocs/wsb4027312702/blog/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 900 Disabled plugins using phpMyAdmin method and deleted and replaced all but wp-content and wp-config.php from download of WordPress. No joy. 🙁 Please help! This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins). Ncej @ncej 10 months, 1 week ago Hi, MSingAste Try re-installing WordPress again. Note: remember to backup your data. MSingAste @msingaste 10 months, 1 week ago Try re-installing WordPress again Thanks, Ncej, but is there another way to reinstall WorsPress when you can't access the Dashboard other than what I already tried, replaced all but wp-content and wp-config.php from download of WordPress? MSingAste @msingaste 10 months, 1 week ago Thanks, James. Tried renaming my theme. Same error from wp-admin (and when attempting to view my blog itself the page is blank). girlieworks @girlieworks 10 months, 1 week ago Try uploading just the /wp-includes/functions.php file again (that's the file where wp_removable_query_args() is defined). (Also, keep in mind that you could still see the same message due to caching, so if it doesn't go away after that file is uploaded, be sure to try logging in with a different browser, too.)
