We have a single user, that has both a laptop and a pc, both with windows 7 and outlook 2010, just like the rest of the company. However for this user outlook crashes several times a day. Recreating his windows account doesn't work, and as it cannot be accessed happens on both his workstations, the hardware and windows installation should be okay. Removing / adding the zarafa account in outlook doesn't work either. I found an error in the windows application log that seems to preceed each crash. I asked the user to disable windows search for now, but that is just a workaround ofcourse. I assume there is some kind of fault in his mail account somewhere, is there a way to pinpoint where exactly? For most users I would just recreate the account, but this particular user has an insanely large mailbox with lots of subfolders and calendars. The issue is noted by a PST export creating and populating some PST files, but stopping at some point and not providing any more movement of the MSG files into PST files. In the Application Event Log, we can see the following warning: Log Name: Application Source:Microsoft-Windows-Search Event ID: 3036 Task Category: Gatherer Level: Warning Keywords: Classic Description: The content source
