Are you using the full Program Neighborhood or the web-based client? What sort of local firewall do you have in place (software and hardware firewalls can block ports which are needed for the connection). You should make sure you are using a current version of the Citrix client. There is some client-side logging that can be turned on to help in some cases. 0 Message Expert Comment by:tonykman2005-09-06 I am having the same problem except only one user is getting this error. Solved Citrix .ica files run internally Posted on 2011-01-24 Citrix 1 Verified Solution 5 Comments 1,179 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-10 We currently implement a web interface that delivers apps to users who are working outside of the office. We have a few programs which do not run very well on Windows7 but run just fine on the server which we'd like to have users access via an .ica file if possible. Is there any client software that would need to be loaded locally or different setup on the server to make this happen? Currently when my machines try to run the .ica files I get the following error. Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server. An I/O (input/Output) error occured while your request was being processed. Any help would be appreciated. 0 Question by:dak11 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution bydak11 Turns out that the web client had to be downgraded.
