The problem is that every time I try to execute some commands in SVN I get the following error message: "Cannot Connect to Interix Subsystem." I have done some research and found out that there are some reported issues. I have tried some solutions that users post online, installed some hot fixes and the problem persists! Is anybody having the same issue? I'd appreciate any assistance on this matter.Thanks!Ysais. Open RegEdit and navigate to the following branch ... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems Ensure the following two values are present, add them if they are not present, they are of type REG_EXPAND_SZ ... Optional Posix Posix %SystemRoot%\system32\psxss.exe If this seems like too much bull, an easier way is to save the below text to a file called fix.reg and run it ... Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems] " Optional" =hex(7):50,00,6f,00

apparently random crashes in PSXSS.EXE similar to the following: Application popup: psxss.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x77fcab56" referenced memory at "0x00fffef8". The memory could not be "read". The query I have isn't so much, "What's causing it?" as "How can I restart psxss?" Merely running psxss doesn't actually start it up. Running a POSIX application doesn't start it up either; it just waits for about thirty seconds, then gives an error, "posix: Cannot connect to Interix subsystem". So, I'm wondering, is there something I can do to force the subsystem to restart? That, or make Windows notice that it's become unloaded, so it can load it itself. The ability presumably exists within Windows, so is there some way I can make use of it? -- Now Playing: Dido - Take My Hand Top 1.
