know how to fix this, or what the reset code for this printer is? Thanks! Respond to this 0 whoa wow not everything involves a reset.First you need to tell us what the error is, flashing green and alternating orange is not a code yet, you canon pixma ip5200 druckkopf need to count the number of greens and if its long or short flash and then how

Thx - unknown 0 Thats a 6A00 error, usually a stuck purge unit. by BAB on Mar 28, 2007 at 12:01am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 What is the fix for that? by unknown on Mar 28, 2007 at 1:54am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 depends but in most cases you may http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/46250 have to enter the unit. If you recently had a paper jam its a good bet some paper scrap got into the purge unit and jammed the mechanism. Try to find it and get it out. If your under warranty, don't bother, just take it in to/or send to an Authorized Canon Repair facilty and let them handle. You may be able to catch me on yahoo messenger as barrybeck60030 or on aim as mif16 3.BABCanon Authorized Tech by BAB on Mar 28, 2007 at 5:56am Add comment Please sign in to comment Thanks for your help. It's out of warranty and the hassle & cost of shipping it to Canon is greater than the cost of simply replacing it (the downside of the razorblades pricing model). I've binned the Canon & bought an HP instead for £80. - Anonymous 0 How would 3 flashes of the orange light be fixed? My ip5200 has too recently passed the end of its warranty, and decides to now play up and tell me there's a paper jam. As far as I can tell there is no jam, but I can't really see too well into the inside due to the thick casing. Is there a chance a reset would work? If so, what would the code be?Also, what's the purge unit? I feel I should check this section for any obstructions. by Anonymous on May 10, 2007 at 3:36pm Add comment Please sign in to comment My Canon iP5200 printer also showed the orange light flashing 3 times repeatedly after I h

Today, partway through a small greyscale job, I ran out of paper in the top feeder. I topped up the paper, but instead of pressing the upper button to resume printing, accidentally knocked the power button (just above) instead. When I powered back up, I got an immediate error- 20 alternating orange then greeen flashing lights, followed by a longer green, then repeated. I've powered off for a couple of hours (cleared the jb in the print queue, removed the USB connector and the mains canon pixma ip plug), but there is no change each time when I power back up again. Windows dingdongs immediately the power is switched on to recognise the printer via the USB port. None of the functions work, cannot access the print head etc. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem might be? The ip5200 is very similar to the ip4200, and it's a fair guess that the ip4200 and ip5200 share the same error codes. The ip4200 Service Manual says: ---------------- Cycles of blinking in orange (Alram[sic] LED) and green (Power LED) 20 times Error [Error code] Other hardware error [6500] Solution (Replacement of listed parts, which are likely to be faulty) Logic board ass'y (QM2-2670) ---------------- I would not trust that the Logic Board part number is correct for an ip5200. It looks to me that it's time for a new printer. Ian IanYY, Sep 20, 2010 #2 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)
