I did have a paper jam but extracted the A4 sheet in one piece I believe. Can see no paper left inside. Have https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART137649 turned the printer off and back on and have pressed the feeder button with no success. Ink tanks all OK. Submitted: 5 years ago. Category:Printers Share this conversation Expert: Freddy M. replied5 years ago. 5 flashes on this machine indicates a print head error. To reinstall the Print Head and Ink Tanks 1. Place the print head in the holder and lower the print head lock lever carefully until you hear a click. 2. Insert ink tanks http://www.justanswer.com/printers/4mvy4-canon-pixma-ip5200-orange-alarm-light-flashing.html into the print head. Press the mark 'PUSH' on the ink tank firmly until you hear a click. 3. Ensure that all the ink tanks are installed properly and the ink tank lamps light red. <1> The ink tanks are installed properly.<2> The ink tanks are not installed properly. Note:

Today, partway through a small greyscale job, I ran out of paper in the top feeder. I topped up the paper, but instead of pressing the upper button to resume printing, accidentally knocked the power button (just above) instead. When I powered back up, I got an immediate error- 20 alternating orange then greeen flashing lights, followed by a longer green, then repeated. I've powered off for a couple of hours (cleared the jb in the print queue, removed the USB connector and the mains plug), but there is no change each time when I power back up again. Windows dingdongs immediately the power is switched on to recognise the printer via the USB port. None of the functions work, cannot access the print head etc. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem might be?
