blicking check printer 5200 so that is why I am writting thanks. Respond to this 0 Canon's tech support just talked me through the solution and it worked for me. They were not able to tell me what error causes 5200, gave a vague response that it could be paper jam, etc.Remove power cord from back lower center of printer Open up top and front of printer like you are going to change the ink cartridge. If the print head/ink isn't visible, it's probably on the far right. GENTLY hold the entire print head / ink assembly and http://www.fixya.com/search/p466473-canon_pixma_mp130_all_in_one_inkjet/5200_error pull it to the center. Raise the gray bar in the bottom front of the ink all the way up. Take out the entire print head assy, which includes both ink tanks. Lower the gray bar with the print head missing. Close the front and top of the printer with the print head missing. Restore power. Wait a long time while it wakes up. Hopefully the LCD will tell you it is pining http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/36939 for its print head, but the error message won't still be there. Open top and front of printer. Raise gray bar, insert print head, lower gray bar. Close front and top of printer. Wait a long time, hopefully LCD screen is it's normal happy self. Try printing something. I had purchasesd my Pixma MP130 in Oct of 05 and got the "Check Printer (5200)" message today (4/24/06). I called them, they were great, and here is what they had me do:1. Open cover of printer and verify that the ink cartridge carriage is not in the center of the printer. Leave cover open.2. Unplug the electrical cord from the printer and wait 30 seconds.3. Plug electrical cord back in, when ink cartride carriage moves to the center of the printer quickly unplug the electrical cord again. This should leave the ink cartridge carriage in the center of the printer so you can get to it.4. Lift up the gray arm that
